CVSU “Making a Difference” Awards 2019 : Nominations

To celebrate the achievements of the voluntary sector in Uttlesford, CVSU are hosting a Celebration Charity Ball in Saffron Walden

As part of the celebrations, we have created 3 new Awards which will recognise the work done by voluntary sector organisations, staff and volunteers in our community

There are 3 categories of award

1. Outstanding contribution in Uttlesford by a volunteer.
2. Outstanding contribution in Uttlesford by an employee within the voluntary sector.
3. Voluntary sector or community organisation making a significant contribution to the lives of those living in Uttlesford

The awards will be judged by an independent panel of guests.

The winners will be invited to receive their awards at the Charity Ball in Saffron Walden on 22nd June.

There will be 2 FREE tickets to the Ball for each category winner.

Launch of Essex County Council Community Initiatives Fund

The CIF has been re-launched for 2019

The CIF has been re-launched for 2019 and has brought together the CIF, Local Service Fund and Micro Grants and will be administered by EALC.

What does the CIF fund?
You can apply if you have a project that can:
  • create, procure or develop new community assets​
  • enhance existing community assets
  • enhance or develop initiatives that strengthen a community, including cultural initiatives
  • develop local capability
Projects should highlight the benefit to the wider community and show that community engagement and co-production has occurred in the design and delivery of the project, demonstrating a real community need.

For CIF (max £10,000 grant), the pre-application form deadline is 31 May 2019.

The Micro Grant strand is a rolling programme with no deadlines.
